Department Overview
We are pleased to introduce an outstanding role as Customer Technology Manager – Solution Readiness at McDonald's, based in Chicago, IL. This job supports the LIOM Segment Team and lead markets like the UK, Germany, Canada, Australia, and France. Your role is central to delivering world-class digital experiences and ensuring our global technology solutions are adopted effectively across the segment.
In this role, you will work closely every day with colleagues from different teams, including Product Engineering, Architecture Services, Project Management Office, and Global Release Managers. Additionally, you will cooperate with our Global Technology Partners and Market Partners to prepare and launch new digital solutions. Duties
- Lead Solution Readiness process: Guide the solution readiness process comprehensively by reviewing delivered solutions and managing the full lifecycle from identifying defects to resolving them and deploying. Guarantee readiness within McDonald’s digital ecosystem.
- Technical Leadership & Architecture: Provide hands-on technical mentorship to solution adoption squads. Ensure solutions align with architectural, quality, and security standards while supporting global scalability and local market flexibility.
- Multi-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Product, Core Engineering, and Architecture teams to craft technical solutions that meet business goals and improve customer experiences.
- Tech Standards Compliance: Support the enforcement of technology standards in line with McDonald’s strategic goal of market standardization. Ensure all fixes meet quality standards and readiness criteria before market deployment.
- Quality & Delivery Oversight: Ensure high testing coverage, observability, and continuous improvement to reduce technical debt and risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, managing technical teams and delivering complex digital products.
- Familiarity with working across global teams that are spread across multiple time zones.
- Deep knowledge of front-end and mobile development, including iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin), along with a history of delivering scalable, maintainable, and high-quality mobile applications.
- Experience integrating mobile apps with backend services using RESTful APIs, DynamoDB, and WebSockets.
- Proficiency in backend development with technologies such as Java and C#.
- Knowledge of modern architecture principles, including Microservices, API-first development, Security by Build, and Data Management.
- Outstanding communication and collaborator management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in global, matrixed organizations, preferably in franchised consumer or retail sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering large-scale digital solutions, especially within eCommerce, Dedication, Rewards, or Offers ecosystems.
- A collaborative attitude, excelling in diverse environments and uniting teams around shared goals and product vision.
- Strong critical thinking and influence skills, capable of aligning technical execution with business objectives and product strategy.

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $127,332.00 - $159,165.00 per year
